CNdM operates large, modern and well-equipped workshops situated in front of Dry Docks No. 8 and No. 9. Each of the workshops is involved in a single activity (mechanical work, steelwork, pipe work, lifting, logistics, electrical work and general storage), and is properly equipped with large overhead cranes and advanced machinery.
CNdM operates Dry Docks No. 8 and No. 9 in the Port of Marseille, which are capable of receiving the largest of vessels, and 450 linear metres of fully-equipped berths. The yard also manages Dry Dock No. 10 (the largest in the Mediterranean) with a 465m x 85m capacity.
Marseille has many interesting tourist attractions, museums and famous city landmarks. Located on France's Mediterranean coast, it is home to the country's largest port and is one of its oldest cities.
Marseille is a port-of-call for many Mediterranean cruise companies, and the train station is the departure point for rail services heading to other French cities. High-speed TGV trains travel between Paris and Marseille in just three hours, and the airport, located in Marignane, is a major airline hub for flights to African and European destinations.

In the mechanical workshop, the yard has an available space of 3,300 sqm, properly equipped with overhead cranes (up to 50-tonne capacity) and all necessary machinery such as lathes (including a 13-metre long sliding bed lathe and a vertical lathe with a three-metre diameter capacity), grinding, milling and slotting machines, drills, saws, cutting, descaling and boring machines (including a large horizontal boring machine), press, cleaning, set pressure and test stations, and an injection bench.
The mechanical workshop is perfectly suited to cover the whole range of marine applications, from delicate diesel injection works to heavy gear machining such as rudders, tail shafts, thrusters and propellers.
In the steel and pipes workshop, CNdM has an available space of 3,300 sqm, properly equipped with overhead cranes (up to 50-tonne capacity) and all the machinery needed to cut, shape, weld and manufacture any steel or pipe you may need.
The available tools include a plasma cutting set, a guillotine shear, a punch, several chain saws, a nibbler, band saws, press, hand folding machines, bending machines, column drills, lathes and threading machines.
CNdM provides up to 4,000 sqm of covered and secure storage space for stock owners and suppliers of spare parts and equipment; these dedicated areas are particularly useful for passenger vessel conversions and refurbishments.
